Today Derby went to his first big social event for our local animal shelter. He did great. Derby warmed up to everybody after the first 5 minutes. Present were many humans, dogs, cats and hot food. He got along with everybody, including K9's and Felines. Though there was some leash pulling around the hot food. Yummm....

Derby met a trainer of hunting dogs, and got to show off a little of what he knew. After a few runs and calls in a large fenced area, the trainer said "this is a really nice dog".

Foster Mom was proud because she noticed the trainer kept coming back to give Derby attention. Trainer even mentioned Derby "moved with nice form".
